She’s Blossomed’s aesthetic is ageless and classic - PICTURE RAMBLING GARDEN ROSES, FOXGLOVES, PANSIES, PEONIES AND SWEETPEAS SPILLING OUT OF EARTHY VESSELS.
I am drawn to imperfections in flowers and foliage - I love how the seasons change their form and colour. A changing Autumn leaf or a dying Rose can transform a flower arrangement to an experience or a feeling - a crisp Autumn walk with your dearest or a treasured stem of your favourite Rose given to you from your lover, BRINGING BEAUTY IN NATURE INSIDE AND EMOTION TO YOUR TABLE. A curvy stem lends itself to sit more beautifully in a vase than a stiff straight one which is often what you find at the floral market. This is one of the reasons that I have started growing my own cut flowers for weddings, events and gift bouquets.
I HAVE 14 SMALL FLOWER BEDS WHICH I AM FOCUSED ON GROWING UNIQUE VARIETIES OF FLOWERS that I can’t buy from the markets. These stems are what make my florals look and feel as if they have just been picked from an English Cottage Garden and they give the arrangements a timeless aesthetic. Knowing that EVERY STEM I PICK HAS BEEN SOWN FROM SEED, GROWN AT MY DOORSTEP and cut so fresh for your florals gives me so much contentment and joy. I buy other flowers I need from local growers in NZ and at times also from the NZ Flower Market. I am drawn to a muted palette but I also love to add a pop of colour in a complimenting tone.
Lush Table Flowers, Organically Styled Bouquets, Natural Flower Installations and perfectly composed Tablescapes are what I love to create.
AVAILABILITY
Aside from floral design I am a Mother to three little boys, Jack, Oliver and Toby. Motherhood is what takes up most of my heart and time besides flowers and because of this I only take on a select number of Weddings and Events every year. As I ONLY TAKE ON A SMALL NUMBER OF BOOKINGS this allows me to give each event my utmost care and attention. Waikato only Wedding bookings are available for the months of September, October, November and February, March and April. Public Holidays/weekends are set aside for family so I do not book events on these dates.
THE EXPERIENCE
Once you have made initial CONTACT and we have established your date then I will then ask you to send me through any INSPIRATION IMAGES or ideas you may have. I will then set a time aside with you to have a COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION to discuss your DREAM FLORALS. We can do this over the phone, online or in person over tea and cake. I will document ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS that may be important to help reflect YOUR STYLE and personality into your flowers for your Wedding.
I will send you a QUOTE based on all we have discussed. Once the quote has been accepted or revised and accepted a 25% deposit will be required to book your event.
From here I will put together a VISUAL PROPOSAL which will be a guide to help you visualise the floral designs. This is just a guide as your final florals are constructed based on what flowers are available to me near the event and won’t always be what is pictured.
Leading up to the Wedding Day you are able to CONTACT ME AS MUCH AS YOU NEED to either via email or over the phone if you prefer.
Two months out from the Wedding I will contact you to confirm all the details for your Wedding Day.
Four weeks from the Wedding Date the remainder of your bill is due.
BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS ARE DELIVERED TO YOU on your Wedding Day at your chosen time!
PRICING
An average wedding takes around 40 hours of work from consultation to clean up. Each arrangement is priced differently depending on the flowers used, the season and availability of blooms, time spent and the style in which the arrangement is constructed.
